How To Create A Directs Link To Your Google Reviews

Google My Business is not just an optional “nice to have” thing for your business. When people search for your business on google, one of the first things they will notice is the star rating and reviews written by past customers.

New Customers will consider your business only when you have the best rating and reviews on your Google My Business listing. Reviews play a huge role in converting potential customers, But how do you get customers to write reviews for your business in the first place?

Well, you can simplify the process of getting your customers to leave a google review by sharing a special link that automatically directs customers to leave a google review. Let’s see how we can set up the link:

STEPS TO CREATE A LINK FOR CUSTOMERS TO WRITE GOOGLE REVIEWS

Step 1: SIGN INTO YOUR GOOGLE MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT

Sign in to your google my business account. If you have multiple listings under one account, open the listing you would like to create a review link for.

Step 2: CREATE A PROFILE SHORT NAME

Now, you will need to create a profile short name. This is a custom name for your business profile that makes it easier for customers to find you on maps and google search.

Click the “Info” tab on your listing dashboard. You will then see the option for adding a profile short name (located under phone number).

We highly recommend making your short name either your business name, or a name people commonly use to refer to your business. 

If your business has multiple locations, google recommends adding the city or neighborhood place to your short name to make it more specific.

STEP 3: COPY YOUR REVIEW LINK

Once you have a short name ready. Then navigate to the “home tab” on your listing. From here, click on the “get more reviews” card on your dashboard. Click on it to copy your new Google review link.

STEP 4: SHARE THE REVIEW LINK TO CUSTOMERS

Once you have your direct link to your Google reviews, share it with customers. When anyone clicks on the review link, it will direct them to the google review page. Where a window will appear that will allow them to easily leave a star rating and review if they are signed into their Google account.

NOTE: It is against Google’s policy to solicit reviews from customers by offering them incentives. Instead, send out a friendly email to all your past customers asking them to review your business after they have used your services.
